Artist Statement

With the intention of expanding the perimeters of jewellery, metalsmithing and sculpture, I investigate the relationship between body and object; beautiful and unpalatable; intangible and material.

Utilizing both traditional and contemporary techniques, I incorporate research and aesthetic investigations into my process. I enjoy working with the finer nuances and distinctive qualities of metal, in conjunction with an exploration of alternate materials.

It is through this vantage that I hope to create unique pieces that connect with the wearer/viewer in unpredictable, intimate ways, whether through sharing a tactile experience or evoking an emotional response.
